Childhood of Namo |
Narendra Modi(so called Namo) was born on 17 September 1950 in a family of grocers in Vadnagar in Mehsana district of Gujarat. His father name was Damodardas Mulchand
Modi and mother name was Heeraben. He helped his father sell tea at the
Vadnagar railway station and on trains. As a teenager, Modi ran a tea
stall with his brother near a bus terminus. He completed his schooling in
Vadnagar, where a teacher considered him
an average student, but a keen debater. When he was a child, he was involved in theatre and other activities. This
experience helped him to become a crowd-puller speaker. Modi was a fan of Rajesh Khanna, and Modi's style
of wearing half-sleeved knee-length kurtas and delivering speeches is inspired by the actor.
